About Stable Construction Company

Stable Construction Company, LLC (SCC) is a woman-owned business enterprise that provides innovative and cost-effective design-build solutions to assist our clients with their slope stabilization and shoreline erosion projects. We provide practical solutions to soil erosion and slide challenges utilizing soil nailing, a viable and underutilized technology for many slope failures. SCC was founded in 2007, and our professional staff brings more than 30 years of construction experience throughout Ohio to our firm.

In addition, we are proud to partner with one of the top geotechnical engineering firms in the area, which was founded more than 90 years ago. This company will assist in analyzing slide conditions and providing economical solutions.

Our primary tool is a rotary percussion drill. With this specialty tool, we install soil nails to reinforce unstable slopes. These solutions can include permanent soil nails, micropile caps, and geosynthetically reinforced soil walls. Our headquarters office is located in Northeast Ohio, with access throughout the state and western Pennsylvania.

Advantages of drilled soil nail technology:

  • Drilled and grouted soil nails are the only type of soil nails considered “permanent” by the Federal Highway Administration.
  • A considerable amount of published research has been performed on the design and performance of grouted soil nails and soil nail walls.
  • Accepted design methodologies and construction means exist for drilled and grouted soil nails.
  • The use of drilled nails allows us to offer micropiles as yet another cost-effective and technically sound slope stabilization methodology.
  • Many state departments of transportation have a grouted soil nail construction specification.
  • This technology is not proprietary and utilizes materials and equipment readily available in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and throughout the U.S.
